Every kitchen has things being kept. This list is the conversation that stops them going in the truck.
Send your fitter’s keep-list with the photos and it goes straight into the quote. The boundaries here are trade convention rather than Crown policy: what matters is that your job has them written down somewhere before the first cabinet comes off.
A kitchen is the densest room in the house for fixed material, which is why it strips faster than people expect and weighs more than they expect.
Including the ones screwed to studs
Wall units, base units, islands and built-in pantry joinery.
Stone goes out in pieces, not whole
Laminate, timber, quartz and granite tops, plus tiled splashbacks.

After the services are isolated
Ovens, hobs, extractors, dishwashers and integrated fridges.

The slowest part of most kitchen strips
Tile, vinyl, LVP and laminate taken up to the subfloor.
Water off at the isolator first
Sinks, taps, wastes and the units they sit in.

One price for the strip and the haul
Everything removed is loaded and taken away by us.
Published ranges, because almost nobody in this market will give you a number before a site visit. You get a firm figure before anything starts and only pay for work completed.
Crown publishes one interior range, not a room-level one. See the note under this grid.
The common job: a full fitted kitchen out, floor included.
Islands, walk-in pantries, or a kitchen-diner stripped as one room.
🔶 PLACEHOLDER: Crown does not publish a kitchen-level price. The published figure is interior gutting at $1,500 to $6,000+ for the service as a whole, which is not a per-room number and should not be presented as one. The axis is set out above; two real figures from Crown finish this grid.
Four steps, no obligation, and you only pay for work completed.
Photograph each run of units, the floor and the appliances. You get a number back within two hours, guaranteed.
We agree in writing what is isolated, by whom, and what is being kept, before anything is unscrewed.
Units, tops, appliances and floor out in that order, loaded as we go rather than stacked in the hall.
Floor swept, debris gone, and we walk it with you so your fitters start on a clean room.
Very quick from contact to in home to remove some flooring. Once on site they got straight to work and did an outstanding job! Very reasonable price for the work done. Will continue to use them for all future needs.
Extremely helpful and nice, was hired for land clearing and site preparation they removed pesky honey suckle. Definitely going to hire them in the future.
Very hard workers that cleaned out a whole house that was trashed and filthy. Very polite and considered. Would definitely recommend this company!
Based in Lexington, working the counties around it. Send the address rather than the town: access decides more than distance on most of these jobs.
Answered properly rather than deflected to a phone call.
Send two or three photos. If it is really a different service we will say so and point you at the right page. It costs you nothing either way.
Send photos insteadNot the live connections. Isolating gas, water and electrical supply is licensed work in its own right, and a demolition crew guessing at it is exactly how a kitchen strip turns into an insurance claim. What we do is work to a room that has already been isolated, and tell you plainly at quote stage which disconnections need arranging, so it is on somebody’s list rather than discovered on the morning.
Yes, and this is the single most useful thing to get into the quote. Tell us which stub-outs, waste runs, circuits and vents your fitters have asked you to keep, and we mark them and work around them. Without that list a strip-out is a strip-out, and things get removed that were going to be reused. It costs nothing to agree and it is the most common avoidable cost on this job.
Yes. Ovens, hobs, extractors, dishwashers and integrated fridges go with everything else, once they are disconnected. If any of them are being kept, say so and we will set them aside somewhere safe rather than load them. Note that Crown’s own accepted-items list puts some categories in an additional-charge bracket, so mention anything unusual when you send the photos.
Less than people fear, and the reason is logistics rather than care: we load as we go, so the material leaves the room instead of accumulating in it. Routes and stairs get protected, and the room is swept before we go. What we cannot make disappear is dust from tiled floors and plastered walls. If you are living in the house through it, say so and we will talk about sequencing.
Most fitted kitchens are a single day, including the floor. What extends it is a stone worktop, a tiled floor bedded on mortar, or a kitchen that is part of a larger open-plan room being stripped at the same time. You get a time with the price, and if your fitters have a start date, tell us and we will work to it rather than around it.
Lexington and the surrounding counties: Lexington, Georgetown, Nicholasville, Richmond, Frankfort, Winchester, Versailles and Paris. The ZIP codes are listed above. If your house was built before 1978, read the lead-rule section on the interior gutting page before you book anyone.
Photograph each run of units, the floor and the appliances, and send your fitter’s keep-list with them. That list is what stops something being removed that you were going to reuse.
