It is a window, not a service. City Public Works picks up brush and small limbs at the curb for a few days in late March, and city residents can take material to the compactor on Stewart Street during that month, free, limited to two loads per household with proof of residence.
What it will not take is exactly what a clearing job produces. The city says plainly that “other wood materials, large branches, and whole trees, trunks/center-cuts will not be picked up”, and that it cannot take tires, car batteries, liquid paint or hazardous materials at all.
So the calendar does the deciding. Small trimmings in March go to the curb. A fence line, a lot, a trunk, a structure, or anything at all in the other eleven months is a job for somebody with a truck. That is a large part of why this end of the service area calls us for property cleanouts rather than for tidy-ups.
Dates move year to year and the detail is the city’s. Check the current cleanup schedule with Paris Public Works before relying on it. A separate heavy-trash day is run by the contractor.
