Too heavy for two people and a hatchback
Sofas, beds, dressers, tables, wardrobes and the things one person cannot move.
A sofa, a mattress, a fridge, a treadmill. One item or a few together, carried out and taken away, and an honest word about when the free option is the better one.

This is the smallest job on the site and the one where a customer is most likely to be paying for something they could get free. We would rather say so and keep the relationship.
Several towns we serve run large-item collection already covered by what you pay. If the thing is at the curb, or you can get it there, and you can wait for the collection day, that is cheaper than us by exactly the amount we would charge.
Check your own city hub page: each one sets out what that town actually provides.
Up a flight of stairs, through a narrow hall, out of a basement, or gone today rather than a fortnight on Tuesday. That is the carrying and the timing, which is what we are actually selling on a job this size.
And if it turns out to be three items rather than one, it gets cheaper per item.
Published ranges, because almost nobody in this market will give you a number before a site visit. You get a firm figure before anything starts and only pay for work completed.
Something already outside or in an open garage. The cheapest job on this site.
Carried out of a room, down a hall, or down stairs.
Several things in one visit. Almost always cheaper than separate call-outs.
🔶 PLACEHOLDER: Crown’s job minimum goes here. Phase 3 says this page should state one, and the published figures show the smallest job at $100, but a smallest published price is not the same thing as a stated minimum charge, and we are not going to present one as the other. If there is a real minimum, this is the line for it.
Crown’s own accepted list, and the short list of what we cannot take. Furniture and appliances are the same visit.

Too heavy for two people and a hatchback
Sofas, beds, dressers, tables, wardrobes and the things one person cannot move.

Awkward rather than heavy
Mattresses and bases of any size.

Often from a garage or basement
Refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens and other large appliances.
The commonest thing people cannot shift
Treadmills, weights benches, hot tub covers and similar.
Cheaper together than separately
Several items in one visit, priced as one job rather than three.
Four steps, no obligation, and you only pay for work completed.
One photo of the item and where it is. That is genuinely all we need for a number.
Small jobs get quoted quickly because there is not much to work out.
Out of the room, down the stairs, onto the truck. You do not need to move it first.
The space left clean. If it is a fridge or a mattress, it goes to the right place rather than the nearest skip.
Very hard workers that cleaned out a whole house that was trashed and filthy. Very polite and considered. Would definitely recommend this company!
Very quick from contact to in home to remove some flooring. Once on site they got straight to work and did an outstanding job! Very reasonable price for the work done. Will continue to use them for all future needs.
Extremely helpful and nice, was hired for land clearing and site preparation they removed pesky honey suckle. Definitely going to hire them in the future.
Answered properly rather than deflected to a phone call.
Send two or three photos. If it is really a different service we will say so and point you at the right page. It costs you nothing either way.
Send photos insteadQuite possibly, and we would rather tell you than take the job. Several towns in our area run large-item or bulk collection that is already covered by what you pay: Winchester, for instance, publishes a monthly allowance for residential customers that is larger than our own roll-off dumpster. If the item is one you can get to the curb and you can wait for the collection day, that is the better answer. Where we are worth paying for is when it cannot reach the curb, or you cannot wait.
Crown’s smallest published job is $100, which is the bottom of the single-item range. Whether that operates as a hard minimum on every visit is a question for the quote rather than this page, and we would rather leave it honest than invent a policy. Ask when you send the photo and you will get a straight answer.
Yes. Refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers and ovens are all on Crown’s published accepted list. Appliances with refrigerant need handling properly rather than tipping, which is part of why they sit at the higher end of the single-item range rather than the lower.
Then it is cheaper than you think, and it is the same crew either way. Two or three things in one visit is $200 to $280 rather than three separate call-outs, and once it is a room or a garage rather than a pile, you are into cleanout pricing at $280 and up, which is better value per item again. Tell us what is actually there and we will point you at the cheapest correct answer.
Lexington and the surrounding counties: Lexington, Georgetown, Nicholasville, Richmond, Frankfort, Winchester, Versailles and Paris. Worth being straight about this one: on a single item, drive time is a real cost rather than a rounding error, so the further-out towns are better served by combining it with something else or by using the local collection if there is one.
One photo of the item and where it is. If your city collects it free and you can wait, we will tell you that instead: it is a better answer and we would rather keep the relationship.
