Who we are
This website, crownclearing.com, is run by CROWN Clearing & Removal, a locally owned land clearing, demolition and junk removal company based in Lexington, Kentucky. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean CROWN Clearing & Removal, and “you” means anyone who uses the website or contacts us through it.
This policy covers the information collected through this website and through the calls, texts and emails that come from it.
What we collect
What you send us
Most of what we hold, you typed or sent to us yourself. When you ask for a quote, the form asks for:
- the services you need, and whether you are a homeowner or a contractor or property manager
- the ZIP code of the property
- a description of the job, if you choose to add one
- photos of the property, if you choose to add them
- your name, phone number and email address
When you call, text or email us instead, we get your phone number or email address and whatever you tell us about the job.
Photos
Photos taken on a phone usually carry details you cannot see, which can include the date and the exact location where they were taken. We use the photos you send only to understand and price the job. If you would rather not share the location, most phones let you turn location off for the camera, or you can send a screenshot of the photo instead.
Collected automatically
Like almost every website, the servers that deliver this one record basic technical information when a page is requested: your IP address, the type of browser and device, the page asked for and the time. It is used to deliver the page, keep the site running and protect it from abuse.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a service from Google, to understand how visitors use it: which pages are viewed, how people arrive at the site, roughly where they are (to the city, not the address), what kind of device and browser they use, and whether a quote request was sent or a phone number tapped. Google Analytics uses cookies to tell one visit from another. The information is reported to us as totals and trends, and we use it only to improve the website. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not send Google the name, phone number, email address or photos you put in the quote form.
Google processes this information under its own privacy policy. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services (opens in a new tab), and you can stop Google Analytics from collecting your visits by blocking cookies in your browser or installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on (opens in a new tab). The website works the same either way.
Apart from Google Analytics, this website does not use cookies for analytics or advertising.
Do Not Track. Some browsers can send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no agreed standard for what a website should do when it receives one, and this website does not currently change how it works in response.
How we use it
We use what you send us to do the thing you asked for, and to run the business around it:
- to look at the job and send you a quote
- to call, text or email you about that quote, and to schedule and carry out the work if you book it
- to keep the records any business has to keep, such as invoices and tax records
- to answer questions, sort out problems, and keep the website working and secure
If you give us a phone number, we may call or text it about your request and the job. That is the reason we ask for it.
We do not sell your information, and we do not rent or trade it. We do not add your phone number or email address to marketing messages unless you have separately agreed to receive them, and if you have, every message will tell you how to stop them.
Who we share it with
We share your information only when we need to in order to do the job or run the business, and only as much as is needed:
- Companies that provide services to us, such as website hosting, email, and the software we use to manage quotes, scheduling and invoices. They handle information on our behalf and may only use it to provide that service to us.
- When the law requires it, for example in response to a valid court order, or when it is needed to protect someone’s safety or our rights and property.
- If the business changes hands, customer records would pass to the new owner, who would have to keep to this policy for information collected under it.
We do not pass your details to other contractors, lead brokers or marketing companies.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as we need it for the reason you gave it to us. If you asked for a quote and did not book, that means long enough to follow up on that quote. If we did the work, it means as long as we need the job, invoice and tax records, which businesses are required to keep for several years. After that, we delete it.
How we protect it
We take reasonable steps to protect what you send us. The website is served over an encrypted connection, and access to customer information is limited to the people at CROWN who need it to do the job. No website or system is completely secure, so we cannot promise that information will never be exposed. If a breach affects your personal information, we will tell you as Kentucky law requires.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- tell you what information we hold about you, and give you a copy of it
- correct anything that is wrong
- delete your information, unless we have to keep it, for example for tax records
- stop calling, texting or emailing you
Email info@crownclearing.com or call (859) 213-6077. We may need to confirm it is you before we act, so that nobody else can see or change your details. We will respond within 45 days, and asking will not change how we treat you.
If we cannot do what you ask, we will tell you why, and you can ask us to look at it again by replying to that message.
Kentucky residents. Kentucky’s Consumer Data Protection Act, in effect since January 1, 2026, gives Kentucky residents rights over their personal data, including the rights above and the right to opt out of its sale or its use for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal data. Whether or not a particular request falls under that law, we will handle it the way this section describes. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can also contact the Kentucky Office of the Attorney General (opens in a new tab).
Children
This website is meant for adults arranging work on a property. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Other websites
This website links to pages we do not run, including our Google reviews, Facebook and Instagram. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and this one does not cover them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you directly before it takes effect.
