That is the whole skill of this job. Vines and brush grown through a fence have to be cut and pulled clear rather than dragged out with a machine, which is slower and is the reason a fence line prices differently from open ground of the same length. We agree what is protected before anything is cut, and that includes the fence, the gate posts and any planting you want to keep. Tell us if the fence is already damaged: it changes the method rather than the price.
Can you clear long driveways or private lanes?
Yes, and it is one of the categories above. Beyond roughly 400 feet it is quoted rather than banded, because at that length the cost is driven as much by how we work the run (from one end, from both, or from a vehicle) as by the footage itself. Private lanes serving several properties are common work for us.
Do you remove the debris?
Yes, and it is priced in. We run our own trucks, so brush and cuttings leave rather than being windrowed along the line you just paid to clear. On a long run that matters: a mulching outfit leaves the material where it was, which along a fence line is exactly where you do not want it.
How long does right-of-way clearing take?
A domestic drive or a short boundary run is normally a single day. Longer lanes and full property boundaries take longer, and density matters more than length past a certain point. You get a time with the quote rather than an estimate here. If the access has to be usable by a particular day, say so.
How is pricing determined?
Length of the run first, then density of vegetation, terrain and access. Up to roughly 100 to 150 linear feet runs $350 to $800; 150 to 400 feet is $800 to $1,800; beyond that is quoted. This is the only service we price by the foot, which means you can put yourself in a band before you even call.
