Furniture & Appliance Pickup
When you would rather not gamble.
One item, on a day you choose, with a price agreed before we arrive. No question of whether it will be taken when the truck comes.
Single item removal, in detailOne item or a houseful. Every other city page on this site tells you what the local bulk rule is. This one tells you that there is not a published one, which is genuinely worth knowing before you plan around a rule that does not exist.

We went looking for the same thing we found in every other town we serve: a page saying how many items, how often, and what is refused. In Versailles it does not appear to exist, and a page that invented one would be worse than this.
What we could confirm. Collection inside the city is contracted, not municipal, and the contract is exclusive: the city states that “Rumpke is the exclusive garbage collection contractor for all Versailles residential customers.” Recycling is “picked up in the city limits by Rumpke every-other-week on the same day as trash,” and “the charge for residential garbage will be on the utilities bill.” The contract itself and the county drop-off are covered on the Versailles page.
What we could not. No bulk-item allowance. No weekly or monthly limit. No list of refused categories. No stated preparation requirements of the kind Georgetown publishes in detail. We are not saying no service exists; we are saying the rule governing it is not published anywhere we could retrieve, which is a different and more useful statement.
Why the absence actually matters. A published rule is something you can hold a hauler to. Where there is none, a bulk collection is a discretionary favor rather than an entitlement, and it can be refused at the curb on the day without anybody having broken a rule. If you are planning a clearout around a free collection here, that is a real risk to price in.
So ring and ask, before you plan. Rumpke customer service is the authority on its own contract. Ask three things: whether bulk collection is included at your address, how many items and how often, and what it refuses. It takes a minute and it is the real answer, better than anything we could tell you from here.
⚠️ PLACEHOLDER: this section records a confirmed absence rather than a rule, and it should be replaced the moment Crown gets a straight answer from Rumpke or the city. This is a plain-English summary of published material, not legal advice.
One item or a houseful: loaded, hauled and disposed of, with the recyclable and donatable part separated out rather than tipped. See the full junk removal service

Single item removal, in detail
The Woodford classic.
Garages and barns off Big Sink and Troy Pike, emptied in one visit. Rural outbuildings usually hold more than anyone expects.
Garage & basement cleanouts
A house to clear, with no rule to lean on.
Woodford estates usually include a barn or two. On a sale timetable, a collection nobody has written down is not something to plan around.
Estate cleanouts
Handled quietly, in a small town.
Versailles is small enough that vehicles get recognized. Unmarked scheduling where that matters, and no conversation about it afterwards.
Hoarding cleanouts
A trade service, scheduled like one.
Renovation waste from sites across Woodford County, on our own trucks and dumpsters, and nothing about it depends on what the contractor agrees to.
Construction debris removalEvery other city page here gives you a number and a source. This one can give you the contractor and the shape of the service but not the rule, and pretending otherwise would make it less useful rather than more.
Collection inside the city limits is Rumpke’s exclusively, recycling runs every other week on your trash day, and the charge lands on your utilities bill rather than a separate invoice.
All published by the city, and more than most pages on this subject will give you.
Whether a bulk collection is included, how many items, how often, what is refused, and whether anything needs wrapping or dismantling first. None of it appears in anything we could retrieve.
Ring Rumpke and ask those four things. It takes a minute and it is the real answer.
We could have written a paragraph that sounded like the other city pages. It would have been invented, and you would have planned a clearout around it.
Where a rule is not published, this site says so. That is the whole policy.
The same published ranges as the main junk removal service: a page about one city should not quote you a different number from the page about the service. You get a firm figure before anything starts.
One item, or two or three together. Curbside is the low end; upstairs or a tight doorway is the high end.
Priced on how much of the truck it fills, from a few items to multiple rooms' worth.
A single garage or partial basement through to a packed space or a whole-property clear.
PLACEHOLDER: three real Woodford County jobs, before and after. Name the road or the part of the county and what was cleared in each caption; that detail is the part a competitor cannot copy.
CROWN’s own published list of the parts of Versailles and Woodford County we work most often.
Outside Woodford County? We haul across Central Kentucky: Lexington, Georgetown, Nicholasville, Richmond, Frankfort, Winchester and Paris. The collection rules described above are this city’s own, and across our eight towns no two of them are the same, which is the whole reason this page exists.
Very hard workers that cleaned out a whole house that was trashed and filthy. Very polite and considered. Would definitely recommend this company!
Very quick from contact to in home to remove some flooring. Once on site they got straight to work and did an outstanding job! Very reasonable price for the work done. Will continue to use them for all future needs.
Extremely helpful and nice, was hired for land clearing and site preparation they removed pesky honey suckle. Definitely going to hire them in the future.
If yours isn’t here, call: we’d rather answer it before you book than after.
Send photos with the address and the date. Same-day depends on what is already booked, so asking early in the day is what gets it done that day.
(859) 213-6077We could not find a published answer, and we would rather say that than guess. The city confirms that “Rumpke is the exclusive garbage collection contractor for all Versailles residential customers,” but no bulk-item allowance, limit or exclusion list appears on anything we could retrieve. Ring Rumpke and ask before you plan around one.
Rumpke, exclusively, inside the city limits. Recycling goes “every-other-week on the same day as trash,” and the charge appears on your utilities bill rather than as a separate account. The contract and the county drop-off are covered on the Versailles page.
Because there does not appear to be one published. Our Lexington, Georgetown, Nicholasville and Winchester pages quote the collecting authority directly because those authorities publish their rules. Versailles does not, as far as we can find. Writing a plausible paragraph anyway is how people end up planning a house clearout around a collection that never comes.
Four things: is bulk collection included at my address; how many items and how often; what do you refuse; and does anything need wrapping or taking apart first. Those are the four that decide whether the free route works for your job. If the answers are good, use it: it costs you nothing.
Yes. Note that the contract position above is for addresses inside the Versailles city limits; elsewhere in the county the arrangement may be different, so check your own bill. Our coverage does not change either way.
Yes, published in the price section above rather than discovered on the phone. In Versailles specifically, it is worth ringing Rumpke first: if bulk collection is included at your address and your job is small, that is free and we are not. We would rather be called for the barn.
Send two or three photos and the address. Ring Rumpke first if your job is small: there may be a free route and we will not pretend otherwise. For anything bigger, you get a firm number back within two hours, guaranteed.
